Wix Still My Cup of Tea
Lately, I've been reading a lot of negative reviews about Wix. Granted, there are kinks to work out with the use of Wix, but I am very comfortable with it. Comparing the custom layout and design to those preset themes of either Wordpress, Weebly, Squarespace, or Mashable. I'm probably swimming upstream on this, I know. I've tried all those other website starters. None of them give me the same flexibility to redesign in detail as Wix has.
If you like the easy route with pre-made templates or themes, then by all means work with whichever serves you best. I prefer the dynamics Wix has to offer, doing it all alone building almost from scratch. From layouts to design to color and even style, I can change things to fit unique me. I'm not constantly changing my website, though I do so to better serve my visitors. Things such as loading time is a great concern that hamper convenience for mobile users. It is universal to all websites.
These are my opinions alone. I can't say everyone agrees with me. I care to share my thoughts openly, because I feel strongly about Wix. Being a user for over three and half years now, I haven't found a better or easier to use free website hosting service.
