Vampire Erotica Explained - Part 1
Sebastian: The Beginning by TL Travis, starkly riveting rich with the right amount of vampiric erotica, brings you the revelations to the raw nature of vampires. The perfect book to read to chase your heart into skipping a few beats before you sleep. Dare to step into the dark side.
Enters Sebastian Benoit, purveyor of pleasures and the local village favorite to sate disgruntled housewives until the one night he is snatched by a mysterious seductress. As avid as he was in the arts at bedding a woman, he finds himself drowning in the newly acquired companion's teachings. Before long, he falls deeply in love with her only to be held a prisoner of his heart.
I was lucky enough to find TL Travis who generously allowed me to read her first book of The Sebastian Chronicles. It is exactly an Erotic Paranormal Novellette, a fast paced story much like an episode to a mini-series for television.
I must say I enjoyed it very much. Any housewife with a particular taste would want to read this book just to escape into the outer-worldly experience of the paranormal. Unlike high fantasy works, the novellette focuses on the mood to carry the reader along into the experience of the story. It may send you into wild imaginations and ravage your dreams as you drift into slumber. Sweetly sinful, perhaps. If that is your cup of tea, I recommend reading more of TL Travis' signature works besides the introduction to Sebastian: The Beginning.
Recently, TL Travis took the time to give me some wonderful answers to my questions about her and what she creates. Here is what we discussed over a charming afternoon:
Me: Tell me what compels you to write most?
TL Travis: Reading and my dreams. Most of my stories come to me in the middle of the night.
Me: What motivated you into publishing your works?
TL Travis: Honestly, my husband. He knew writing had become important to me so he said it's now or never and to quit my job and go for it. So, I did and now a little over a year later, I'm publishing my 12th story.
Me: When did you start writing? And what other books influence you?
TL Travis: 9 years ago. I'm influenced mostly by Anne Rice and Bram Stoker.
Me: Okay, so Sebastian is a human being turned into a vampire. Isabel comes from a really rough beginning. clearly, she derives a degree of warmth to desire him. But details of that are teasing me (the reader) at this point. Is that intentional?
TL Travis: Yes.... Book 2 that is free this weekend clears some of that up.
Me: Now how did you decide on names of your characters?
TL Travis: For The Sebastian Chronicles, I had his before I started the series. For everyone else I just googled male and female names in the centuries and countries for which I based the books in.
Currently, I am reading The Sebastian Chronicles for a mindful study in the unique area known as Erotic Paranormal Novellettes. It is exciting, sexy, craving danger on the off ramp while seductively explanatory for bloodlust that only vampires can understand. Fortunately, I don' t have to be one to feel what it's like with the guidance from these books. I will feature subsequent reviews here, so check in often to see my latest post. Or follow me on twitter to stay updated. I'll buzz you.
TL Travis, creator of The Sebastian Chronicles among other works, releases My Servant, My Lover (The Sebastian Chronicles Book 2) #free for a limited time only on Amazon this weekend. Get it while you can!
